A LITTLE while ago a woman visitor at one of the life-boat stations was talking one evening to the motor mechanic near the life-boathouse. As they talked they watched an aeroplane passing overhead. It was just above them when the life-boat maroon sounded and the motor mechanic ran for the boathouse. When he arrived he turned round and saw the woman struggling after him. He asked her what was the matter and she said that she was running to the boathouse for shelter. She thought that the maroon was a bomb from the aeroplane and that war had broken out..
