Pride o' the Clyde

Campbeltown, Argyllshire.—At 6.25 in the morning of the 28th of February, 1952, a life-boatman picked up on his wireless set a message from the motor fishing boat Pride o' the Clyde, of Tarbert, that she was aground at Skipness Point and needed help. At 6.47 the life-boat City of Glasgow left her moorings. The sea was slight, and the east-south-east breeze was light, but there was fog. The life-boat found the fishing boat, with six on board, and towed her off. The fishing boat then made for Tarbert, and the life-boat returned to her station, arriving at 12.45 that afternoon.— Rewards, £16 Vs. 6d..
