Holyhead, Anglesey.—At 3.7 in the morning of the 5th of December, 1951, the coastguard telephoned that a woman had reported that her husband and two others had put out in the fishing boat Forward, of Beaumaris, at one o'clock the previous afternoon- and had not returned. The coast- guard had looked for them with the help of a searchlight, but had seen nothing, and at 4.45 the life-boat St. Cybi, Civil Service No. 9 was launched. A moderate west-south- west gale was blowing, with a rough sea running. The life-boat found the fishing boat with her engine broken down, one mile east of the Mail Pier Lighthouse. She had anchored, but the anchor was dragging. The life- boat towed her in and reached her station at 6.45.—Rewards, £11 2s..
