Buckle, Banffshlre.—At 3.10 in the afternoon of the 27th of December, 1951, the coastguard telephoned that a fishing boat was ashore half a mile north-west of the Covesea Lighthouse, and at 3.40 the life-boat Glencoe, Glasgow was launched with the har- bour master in charge. The sea was choppy, with a light south-easterly breeze blowing. The life-boat found the fishing boat Cloud, of Hopeman, with a crew of two. She was not in immediate danger, but the life-boat stood by her until she refloated and was taken in tow by another fishing vessel. She then returned to her station arriving at 9.30 that night.— Rewards, £16 15s..
