Aldeburgh, Suffolk At 12.22 in the afternoon of the 9th of December,1951, the coastguard telephoned that a local fishing boat was flying a distress signal one and a half miles north-east of Aldeburgh, and at 12.35 the No. 2 life-boat Lucy Lavers was launched.
