The Auxiliary Fishing Boat C.A.5

New Quay,Cardiganshire.—At 1.55 on the afternoon of the 18th of August, 1951, the coastguard telephoned that a boat was reported in difficulties be- tween five and six miles north-east of New Quay. There was a shirt flying from her mast-head. At 2.20 the life- boat St. Albans was launched in a rough sea with a moderate southerly breeze blowing. She found the auxi- liary fishing boat CA.5, of Aberayron, broken down, and rescued her crew of three, towing the boat to New Quay.

She got back to her station at 4.0.
