The American Steamer Sea Cloud
Hastings, Sussex.—At 3.40 on the afternoon of the 28th of June, 1951, the North Foreland radio station tele- phoned that the American steamer Sea Cloud, seven miles south of the harbour, had reported a man fallen down her hold. She asked for a doctor; so at 4.7 the life-boat M.T.C.
was launched with a doctor and two ambulance men. The sea was smooth with a light west-south-west breeze.
The life-boat took the injured man ashore to a waiting ambulance and arrived back at her station at 5.55 that evening.—Rewards, £21 4*. 6d..
