Amble, Northumberland. — On the morning of the 15th of March, 1951, the fishing coble Ocean Vanguard was at sea in bad weather. There was a heavy swell at the harbour entrance, too, and she was unable to get in. So about 11.15 the life-boat J. W. Archer was launched.
