Newhaven, Sussex. — On the 26th of March, 1951, the Newhaven life- boat rescued the crew of six of the Belgian trawler Christiane II, of Ostend.

Rewards: to Coxswain William JHarvey, the 'thanks of the Institution on vellum; to the coxswain and each of the ten members of the crew, includ- ing the full-time mechanic, an addi- tional reward of £1. Rewards to crew and helpers: First service £21 11s.
