The Humber Lightvessel

Humber, Yorkshire.—At 4.5 in the afternoon, on the 14th of January, 1951, the Mablethorpe coastguard tele- phoned that the Gorleston superintend- ent of Trinity House had asked for the life-boat to land a sick man from the Humber Lightvessel. At 4.30 the life- boat City of Bradford II was launched with the second coxswain in command.

The sea was smooth with a light west- erly breeze blowing. She took the man on board, landed him at Grimsby, where an ambulance was waiting, and arrived back at her station at 9.10 that night. Paid Permanent Crew. Other expenses paid by Trinity House..
