Isa Simpson

Gourdon, Kincardineshire. — At two o'clock in the afternoon of the 3rd of January, 1951, Johnshaven sent a message that the local motor fishing boat Isa Simpson was disabled by an engine breakdown off Johnshaven. At 2.10 the life-boat Margaret Dawson was launched in a south-easterly breeze and heavy swell, and found the fishing boat two miles south-south-west of Gourdon. The life-boat took her in tow to Gourdon Harbour, reaching it, not without difficulty owing to the tide and wind, at four o'clock.—Rewards, £16 5s..
