From the Gold Coast

THE Institution gets many letters from West Africa, asking for its "catalogue." Here is one of the latest. It comes from the Gold Coast.

"I am very happy to write you this letter. Please, sir, I beg you to send me your complete catalogues. My hair is black and my eyes are white. I have black skin. I want to know about your country and the animals around you. I think your country is big and nice too. I beg you to send me your photo and I also will send you my photo. If you receive this letter try to reply me in time. If you reply me send me your catalogues and any- thing you have. I end here with best compliments and wishing you good luck. God will bless you in your work. Greetings to you and all your friends.

"P.S. Try to send me your friends addresses." The Institution sent the writer its thanks and good wishes and a copy of its illustrated annual The Story of the Life-boat, but it felt that this was a very inadequate reply to such a letter..
