Fishing Boats

Gourdon, Kincardineshire.—On the morning of the 10th of January, 1951, the Gourdon fishing fleet was overtaken by a south-south-easterly gale with a very rough sea. As the harbour en- trance was dangerous the life-boat crew were assembled in case any boats should try to go in. Six of them wentto Stonehaven; four others were still at sea. So at 1.5 in the afternoon the life- boat Margaret Dawson was launched and escorted them into Gourdon Har- bour. She returned to her station at 2.40.—Rewards, £14 17*. 6d..
