Shoreham Harbour, Sussex.—About 11.48 on the night of the 15th of August, 1950, the Kingston-on-Sea Coastguard telephoned that a vessel was in distress to the cast of Shorcham Harbour. At 12.12 next morning the life-boat Jane Holland, on temporary duty at the station, was launched. The sea was rough, with a strong breeze blowing from the south-south-west. She found the motor yacht Path, with a crew of two, bound for the Medway, anchored on a lee shore half a mile east of the harbour. Her engine had broken down and she was dragging. The life-boat towed her to harbour and reached her station again at 1.55.—Property Sal- vage Case..
