Filey, Yorkshire.—At 8.40 oil the evening of the 10th of July, 1950, a report was received that the sailing dinghy Cygnet was in a dangerous position, with two people on board waving for help. Sixteen minutes later the life-boat The Cuttle was launched in a slight sea with a light west-south-westerly wind blowing.
