Provider

Flamborough, Yorkshire.—While the local fishing coble Provider was out fishing on the 25th of October, 1949, a south-easterly wind, increasing to gale force, made a very rough sea. The life-boat Howard D. was launched at eleven o'clock in the morning and found the coble, a mile and a half away, hanging on to her gear. After escort- ing the coble to safety, the life-boat had to wait until half past three before she, could get ashore.—Rewards, £27 15s. 6d..
