Flam borough, Yorkshire.—As the coble Ocean Gift was out fishing, and a strong north-east wind was rising, accompanied by a growing sea, the life-boat Howard D was launched at 7.55 on the morning of the 30th September, 1949. The life-boat found the coble a mile north-east of Flam- borough- Head, making for the North Landing and advised her crew to make for the smoother waters of the South Landing. They agreed, and the life- boat escorted the Ocean Gift to safety, returning to her station by half past nine.—Rewards, £10 15s. 6d..
