Maurice Georges

St. Helier, Jersey.—On the 13th of September, 1949, the life-boat Hearts of Oak, from the reserve fleet, doing tem- porary duty at the station, put out in search of an aeroplane, but found nothing and returned to her station.

On her way back she saved the yacht Maurice Georges and her crew of four.

—Rewards, the gold medal to the cox- swain, the bronze medal to each of the seven men of the crew and £43 Ss.
