Viva
St. Helier, Jersey.—At 10.45 on the night of the 1st of August, 1949, the harbour office reported that a resident of Bel Royal had seen a rocket off St.
Aubins, and at 11.20 the life-boat Hearts of Oak, on temporary duty at the station, was launched. A strong west-south-west breeze was blowing, and the sea was rough. The life-boat found the motor yacht Viva, of Fal- mouth, with only a boy of fifteen on board, in Bel Croute Bay. She had two anchors down, but was driving on to the rocky shore. The life-boat towed her into harbour and reached her station again at 12.30 the next morning.—Property Salvage Case..
