A Rubber Dinghy (1)
Humber, Yorkshire.—At 3.25 in the afternoon of the 31st of July, 1949, information was received through the coastguard at Easington that a rubber dinghy was drifting half a mile off Easington, and the life-boat City of Bradford //was launched at 3.40. A strong west-south-west breeze was blow- ing, with a moderate sea. The life- boat found the dinghy off Easington beach with one man and two women on board. They were lying in the bottom of the dinghy very sea-sick.
The life-boat rescued them, and arrived back at her station at 5.55.—Paid Permanent crew..
