The Motor Boat

Broughty Ferry, Angus.—At four o'clock in the afternoon of the 10th of April, 1949, the Carnoustie coastguard telephoned that a small motor boat, with two on board, was alongside the North Carr Lightvessel. She had sprung a leak. The life-boat Mono, was launched at 4.12, in a strong westerly wind with a rough sea, and reached the lightvessel two hours later. She towed the motor boat to Anstruther and got back to her station at 11.20.—Rewards, £12 13s..
