Life-Boat As Mail Boat

The Minister for Posts and Tele- graphs in the Republic of Ireland has sent his thanks to the life-boat station at Kilronan for carrying mails for the Aran Islands from Rossaveal to Kilronan.

The mails were loaded by the crew under the supervision of the district inspector and the Minister specially mentioned that "although the weather was exceptionally bad they were de- livered absolutely dry.".
