Fishing Boats (2)

Bridlington, Yorkshire.—About 8 o'clock in the morning of the 9th of February, 1949, the coastguard re- ported that ten local fishing boats were at sea and that the weather was getting worse, and the life-boat Tittie Morrison, Sheffield, was launched at 9.15. A south-south-east gale was then blowing, with a rough sea and rain. The life- boat escorted the fishing boats to the harbour at 11.45, and owing to the state of the tide remained there until the afternoon. She arrived back at her station at 3 o'clock.—Rewards, £13 19s. 6d..
