AT Christmas the Margate life boat took out the Mayor of Margate with gifts for the men on the Tongue Lightship, and the Eastbourne life-boat took out the Mayor of Eastbourne with gifts for the men on the Royal Sovereign Lightship.

Both trips were rough..
