Victory

Ramsgate, Kent.—At 12.10 in the morning of the 12th of November, 1948, information was received that the local motor fishing boat Victory, with two aboard, was five hours overdue, and the motor life-boat Mary Scott, on temporary duty at the station, was launched at 12.16 in a light south- westerly breeze with a slight sea.

With the help of her searchlight she found the Victory near South Brake Sands. Her propeller was foul and she was making very slow progress against a strong ebb tide. The life-boat towed her to the harbour, arriving back at her station at 2.45.—Rewards, £10 13s. 6.
