St. Ives, Cornwall.—At 6.48 a.m. in the morning of the 4th of September, 1948, the coastguard telephoned that the s.s. Moyallon, of Belfast, lying in St. Ives Bay, had signalled that an accident had occurred on board, and the motor life-boat Edgar, George, Orlando and Eva Child was launched at 7.19, with a doctor and ambulance man. A north-north-west gale was blowing, with a heavy sea. The in- jured man was found to have fractured his pelvis and the life-boat brought him ashore at 7.30.—Rewards, £14. 2s..
