—At 8.12 in the evening of the llth of July, 1948, the Gorleston coastguard telephoned that the s.s. Tora Elise, of Arendal, Norway, which was passing to the northward, was flying the .signal for a doctor, and the motor life-boat Louise Stephens was launched at 8.33, with a doctor on board, in a light north-north-west breeze with a moder- ate sea. She came up with the steamer off Yarmouth, took off a sick seaman and returned to her station, arriving at 9.45. -The seaman was sent to the Sailors' Home.-—Rewards, £10 13s. 6d..
