Quireda

Courtmacsherry Harbour, Co. Cork.— At 12.20 in the afternoon of the 15th of August, 1948, information was received that a yacht was in distress and dragging her anchor towards the rocks at the harbour entrance, and the motor life-boat Sarah Ward and William David Croswelkr was launched, in a light north-westerly breeze with a moderate sea. She found the sailing yacht Quireda, of Queenstown, with a crew of two. The yacht was then only fifty yards from the shore. The life- boat passed a rope to her, towed her to a safe anchorage, and got back to her station again at two o'clock.— Rewards, £5 13s..
