Cromarty.—About 4.50 in the after- noon of the 24th of June, 1948, the coastguard reported information re- ceived that a small vessel appeared to have broken down a quarter of a mile south of South Sutor, and the motor life-boat James Macfee was launched at 5 o'clock in a light south-easterly breeze with a slight swell.
