Eastbourne, Sutiex.—At 7.45 in the evening of the llth of July, 1948, the Eastbourne Angling Association re- ported that their motor boat Lesal, which a party of four had taken out for a day s fishing, was overdue, and at 7.58 the motor life-boat Jane Holland was launched. A fresh south-westerly breeze was blowing with a moderate sea. She found the Lesal three miles south-east of.._the .. liferboat istation.
