Gularis

Seaham,"? Durham.—At 4.27 in the afternoon of the 15th of August, 1948, the coastguard reported a boy drifting seawards in a rubber dinghy off Hoiden, and the motor life-boat Elizabeth Witts Allen was launched at 4.55 in a light south-westerly breeze with a slight sea. She came up with the motor yacht Gularis one mile to the south-south-east and found that she had picked up the boy and his dinghy, and another boy who had swum out to his help. The life-boat took the boys and their dinghy on board and returned to her station, arriving at 5.23 that evening.—Re- wards, £5 7s..
