The Scarweather Lightship

The Mumbles, Glamorganshire.—-On the afternoon of the 3rd of April, 1948, a message came from the Scarweather Lightship that a man had committed suicide on board, and as the Trinity House vessel was under repair, the life- boat, William Gammon—Manchester and District XXX, went out at 3 o'clock, in a strong breeze, with a rough sea running, and brought the body ashore, arriving back at 6.45 that evening.— Rewards, £6 18*..
