The London Steamers Fulham III and Fulham VI
WEATHER-BOUND IN TORBAY Torbay, Devon.—During the morning of the 7th of January, 1948, officers of two London steamers, Fulham III and Fulham VI, weather-bound in Torbay while on passage in ballast to Barrv, had come ashore to buy provisions.
The wind got up and at two o'clock it was blowing a gale from the north- north-west, with a .rough sea. The officers could not get back to their steamers in the ships' boats, and asked for the help of the life-boat, George Shee. She was launched, towed the boats out to the steamers and returned to her station at 3.20.—Rewards, £4 8s..
