Noamh Seunan

Dunmore East, Co. Waterford.— During the afternoon of the 28th of February, 1948, a fishing boat was re- ported flying distress signals four and a half miles to the westward, and the motor life-boat Annie Blanche Smith was launched at 4.30. A moderate easterly breeze was blowing, with a moderate sea, and there was a thick fog.

The life-boat found the local fishing boat Noamh Seunan with two men on board, her engine broken down, and neither sails nor oars. She took her in tow and arrived back at her station at 5.50.—Rewards, £7..
