ASHORE IN A THICK FOG North Sunderland, Northumberland.— At 7.20 on the morning of the 15th of August, 1947, the Seahouses coast- guard reported that a tug was ashore on Bush Rock, and that three women and two boys had been taken off by a fishing boat, but that seven members of her crew were still aboard. The motor life-boat W.R.A. was launched at 10.10 in a very thick fog, with a slight south- south-east breeze and a calm sea. She found the tug Alexandra, of Queens- ferry, two miles north-north-east of the harbour, stood by until she re- floated, and escorted her to the harbour, arriving back at her station at 12.30 in the afternoon.—Rewards, £25 15s..
