SOLITARY WATCHMAN RESCUED Falmouth, Cornwall.—At 6.10 in the evening of the 16th of March, 1947, the motor life-boat Crawford and Con- stance Conybeare was launched to a ship on the rocks at St. Just, Falmouth Harbour. A strong westerly gale was blowing with a very rough sea. The life-boat found the American steamer Southlands, with only a watchman on board.
