FISHING BOAT BROKEN DOWN Flamborough, Yorkshire.—-At one o'clock in the morning of the 9th of May, 1947, the Bridlington coastguard reported that a fishing boat was over- due and the motor life-boat Elizabeth and Albino, Whitley was launched at 1.30. A fresh north-easterly wind wasblowing, with a moderate sea. In Filey Bay, about a mile off shore, the life-boat found the Bridlington fishing boat Express, with a crew of six. She was at anchor with her engines broken down and her sails blown away. The life-boat towed her to Bridlington and returned to her station, arriving at 7.5.
