Olive
Torbay, Devonshire.—On the 27th October, 1939, it was reported to the senior naval officer, Weymouth, by an observer on a R.A.F. aeroplane, en- gaged on reconnaisance over West Bay, that a motor boat was drifting about ten miles north-east of Berry Head.
The information was passed to the life- boat station by the coastguard. A strong north wind was blowing, with a moderate sea. At 9 A.M. the motor life-boat George Shee was launched and found the motor boat Olive, but she had no one on board. The life-boat returned to her station at 1 P.M., bringing the boat with her.—Rewards, £7 6s. 6d..
