Two Vessels (1)
Lowestoft, Suffolk, and Great Yarmouth and Gorleston, Norfolk.—13th September, 1939. Early in the morning information was received that two vessels had been in collision off Lowestoft.
A N.E. gale was blowing with a rough sea, and it was very dark with heavy rain squalls. Both life-boats searched for some time and in the end found a vessel badly damaged, but not then in any need of help.—Rewards: Lowestoft, £16 3s. 6d.; Great Yarmouth and Gorleston, £18 195. 6d..
