Broughty'[Ferry, Angus.—7th September, 193'J. Shortly after 10 F.M.information was received that an aircraft had dived into the sea three miles N.E. of the North Carr Lightvessel.

The life-boat found nothing, spoke the lightvessel, and learned that the position was four miles N.N.E. She searched again, without success, and it was not until day came that she found oil on the sea. It was assumed that the aircraft had been lost.
