THE committee of management greatly regret the death, on 28th July, at the age of 72. of their colleague Engineer Vice-Admiral Sir Robert Bland Dixon, K.C.B. Sir Robert concluded a dis- tinguished career in the navy by serving as engineer-in-chief of the fleet from 1922 to 1928. He became a member of the committee of manage- ment in the same year, and until his death served not only on the com- mittee of management but on the sub-committees for construction and finance..
