A Rowing Boat

Weymouth, Dorset.—At 3.20 P.M. on the 12th February, 1939, information was received that two boys in a disabled small rowing boat were being carried out to sea, having broken a rowlock.

The motor life-boat William and Clara Ryland was launched at 3.55 P.M., and found the small rowing boat drifting rapidly on to a rocky lee shore. The two boys were taken on board the lifeboat, which returned to her station at 4.40 P.M., with the small boat in tow.— Rewards, £6 13*..
