Fishing Boats

Gourdon, Kincardineshire.—Early in the morning of the 23rd November, 1938, the Gourdon fishing fleet put out to sea in fair conditions of weather.

At 7.45 a strong E.S.E. breeze sprang up, increasing later to gale force and bringing with it a rough sea with heavy rain. The motor life-boat Margaret Dawson was launched at 12.20 P.M. and stood by at the harbour entrance until all the boats had got in safely. She returned to her station at 2.30 P.M.—Rewards, £15 15s. 6d..
