A Rowing Boat

Lerwick, Shetlands.—At 3.10 P.M. on the 21st November, 1938, news was received from Quarff Post Office that a young man had gone out fishing in a small rowing boat in the forenoon and had not returned. A moderate N.W.

breeze was blowing, with a very heavy swell. The motor life-boat Lady Jane and Martha Ryland was launched at 3.26 P.M. and found the small boat in Quarff Bay several miles to the south of Lerwick. She took her in tow and brought her into Lerwick Harbour at 4.30 P.M.-—Rewards, £6 18s..
