Boulmer, Northumberland.—At about 6.30 P.M. on the 19th June, 1938, information was received at the life-boat station, through Cullercoats wireless station and Blyth coastguard that the s.s. A strong westerly wind was blowing, and the London was towing the Irene, with three men on board, close under her lee for shelter.

The life-boat took the Irene in tow and brought her into Amble Harbour, returning to her station at 9 P.M.— Rewards, £8 Is..
