Awards to Honorary Workers

Honorary Life-Governor.

Mr. JAMES HARTLEY BURTON has been elected an Honorary Life-Governor of the Institution in recognition of the valu- able help which he has given to the life- boat service both as honorary secretary of the Penmon and Beaumaris stations and as chairman of the Anglesey branch during his thirty-one years' association with the service.

Mrs. M. M. APPENNEA GREEN has been elected an Honorary Life-Governor of the Institution in recognition of the valu- able help which she has given to the life- boat service as honorary secretary of the Clapham branch.

Mrs. EDITH K. HARTLY-HODDER has been elected an Honorary Life-Governor of the Institution in recognition of the valu- able help which she has given to the life- boat service as honorary secretary of the Ladies' Life-boat Guild of the Bristol branch since its formation in 1923.

Mrs. BEATRICE M. HOLDING has been elected an Honorary Life-Governor of the Institution in recognition of the valu- able help which she'has given to the life- boat service as honorary secretary of the Leamington Spa branch.

Sir FRANCIS VERNON THOMSON, Bt., K.B.E., has been elected an Honorary Life-Gover- nor of the Institution in recognition of the valuable help which he has given to the life- boat service in London, especially in connexion with the annual appeal to the members of the Baltic Mercantile and Shipping Exchange.
