Walton and Frinton, Essex; Margate, Ramsgate, and Walmer, Kent.— 27th October, 1937. During naval exercises fireworks were used by the Fleet without notice being given. They were taken for distress signals and these four motor life-boats were launched. The Board of Trade took up the matter with the Admiralty and reported the expenses incurred by the Institution.
