North Sunderland, Northumberland.— The motor life-boat W.R.A. was launched at 12.30 P.M. on the llth December, 1937, to stand by the Beadnell fishing boat Jane Douglas, which, with a crew of three, was returning home. A very heavy sea was running, and the S.W. wind which was blowing changed to N.E. and became a gale while the life-boat was out. She found the fishing boat about a mile and a half from Beadnell, and escorted her safely to the Knakker Hole.
The life-boat returned to her station at 2 P.M.—Rewards, £13..
