Salcombe, andTorbay, Devon.—5th November, 1937. A small fishing boat from Bee Sands had not returned when expected, and the Salcombe motor life-boat searched for her. Later, the Torbay motor life-boat carried on the search, and next day a R.A.F. flyingboat from Mount Batten took part.

The search was without result, and next day gear from the missing boat was picked up. A letter expressing the Institution's thanks for the flyingboat's help was sent to the O.C., R.A.F.
