The Motor Fishing Coble Brittania

Flamborough, Yorkshire.—Early on the afternoon of the 20th September it was reported that conditions at sea were bad and getting worse, and that the local motor fishing coble Brittania was out. A moderate N.E. gale was blowing, with a rough sea. The No. 1 motor life-boat Elizabeth and Albino, Whitley was launched at 1.80 P.M., and found the Brittania, which had cut adrift her gear, about four miles E.N.E. from the life-boat station. The life-boat escorted her into safety, keeping on the weather side to protect her from the heavy seas, and returned to her station at 2.45 P.M.—Rewards, £9 5s..
